Ans:I attended the wedding ceremony of my cousin Rabia last Friday. It was long awaited so it took place with great pump and show and all the kith and kin attended the ceremony. It was arranged in a park near the house therefore the park was converted into a fairy land. The Shahnai was being played very softly. Men in their best dresses and women and young girls in gold and silver added to the dreamland atmosphere.
The "Barat" arrived in the afternoon. Then there was a grand show of firework, band and dance by the young ones. At first the "Barat” was accorded a warm welcome. After that the bridegroom was garlanded and seated on a raised, decorated platform. The guests were entertained with cold drinks. Afterwards came the dolled up bride, accompanied by her sisters and friends, walking at a show pace. At last the "Nikah" ceremony took place followed by congratulations and good wishes. Finally the guests were entertained with tasty dishes and cold drinks. After that all the relatives offered good wishes and gifts to the newly married couple.

In AIOU, study is based in a modified semester system. The academic year is divided into two semesters namely Spring and Autumn. General education and functional courses are offered in each semester. Study period for each semester generally lasts 18 weeks. Here are some guidelines for getting admission:
1. Buy a prospectus from any regional office of AIOU
2. Fill your form and submit it in nearest bank.
3. In the first semester of BA/BS you will have to take up the following three subjects: 1. English 2. Islamic Studies 3. Pak Studies

Use of public transport:
Ans:
public transport is cheaper but it is also the best for our environment. In the current scenario, the world is facing the biggest challenges in the shape of global warming and air pollution. Both these factors are contributing a negative impact on the global climate. Big cities have started feeling about the negative impacts of green-house gases. Climate experts are highlighting that the best option is to adopt public transportation in place of personal cars. While driving personal transport, you feel more pressure in terms of safety, time and cost. While travelling on a bus, you are free of many stressful factors.
Use of Public Transport
As far as fuel consumption per passenger is concerned, public transport is far better than a private vehicle, because it uses quite less amount of fuel. The emission of air pollutants per person in the atmosphere is too less by a public bus as compared to a car driven by a single head. Of course if you can't drive or don't have personal transport, then public transport is the only choice for you to go shopping, market, picnic friends of place of work.
