It persuades us to faster love, compassion , kindness and sympathy. <br />kindness is the essence of all religions of the  world. The Holy Ourran says: <br />" Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness?" <br />Mark Twain, an American writer says: "Kindness is a language which the dumb can speak the deaf can hear and the blind can see." Thus we should be merciful ( and kind to all the creatures of ALLAH. <br />In ancient times the rich were entitled to enslave the poor, A merciless master had many slaves. <br />Androcles was one of them. <br />The master was a sadist.He tormented slaves just for fun and joy . Although Androcles always did his work diligently ,his master was never satisfied with his work. The master often got furious at his work and tortured him severely. One day, the poor slave managed to run away from the tyranny of his master. <br />He took refuge in an isolated cave in a wilderness, There, one day, he happened to come across a fierce lion. The lion had a luxuriant mane and huge flashing eyes. The slave was extremely frightened and was about to run away to save his life but then he observed that the lion was limping and moaning with pain. He also observed that one of his paws was badly swollen. He saw that a big thorn had pierced it. As he was a kind-hearted person, he decided to relieve the wretched lion of his plight. He observed the lion’s movement for a while. <br />Finally, he took fine risk. He mustered up courage, went near the lion vigilantly and extracted the thorn from his paw, The Lion heaved a sigh of relief and cast a look of gratitude at him. After a long time, the soldiers of the master captured the slave and brought him before the ruthless  master. The master decided to cast the unfortunate slave before a hungry lion as a warning for the other slaves.<br /> On the fixed day, the slave was thrown into an amphitheatre . The gate of a heavy cage was opened and a fierce lion vaulted out. The lion came bouncing across the field. He approached the slave and recognized him as the man who had helped him in his distress. Instead of attacking him, the lion began to lick the slave's feet. As soon as the master heard the incident of the slave's kind heartedness and bravery, he was moved to tears. He ordered the lion to be set free again in the test, <br />and the slave to be pardoned and freed. </p><p><b>Possible Morals:</b></p><p> (1) Do good and bait good. <br />(2) Virtue never goes waste/unrewarded. <br />(3) One good turn deserves another.<br /><br /><br /> <br /><br /> </p>

Take it or leave it, my dear man. I can’t pay more." The woodseller agreed.The barber asked his servant to unload the wood and also the Wooden saddle. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The woodseller protested and said that the saddle was no part of the fuel wood. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">But the barber replied, “Old man I have paid for all the wood on the donkey’s back. The saddle is made of wood and it is there on the donkey's back.” So saying, he seized the saddle and ordered his servants to throw the wood seller in the street. The woodseller went to the Caliph. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The caliph could not help him, because the terms of the bargain favoured the barber. But he did offer the poor man a piece of good advice. The next day, the woodseller went to the barber’s shop and asked him to shave him and his friend. He offered to pay two dinars for it. The barber shaved the woodseller and then told him to bring his friend. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The woodseller went out and brought his donkey. The barber flew into a rage. “How dare you play a silly joke on me ? I, the barber to the King’s courtiers, shave your donkey! Get out of here, before 1 break your skull,” he said. The woodseller went to the Caliph once again. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The Caliph called the barber before him. After listening to the statements of the parties, the Caliph pronounced: “The woodseller is in the right. If the saddle of a donkey can be a part of the fuel wood, the donkey can very well be a man’s companion and friend.” Then he ordered the barber to shave the donkey in the presence of all the courtiers. His pious mother stitched up forty gold coins in his shirt. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">She advised her son to speak the truth always. He joined a caravan and set off on his journey. When the caravan entered a forest a gang of robbers fell on the travellers and deprived them of all their valuables.</span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;"> While they were busy robbing everyone, a robber happened to pass by the young boy. He said, “Boy, do you have anything on you?” “Yes” came the prompt reply, “I have forty gold coins.” The robber asked the young boy to show the money which he readily did. The robber took the boy to the leader of the gang. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;"> Like all other robbers the leader was nor a little surprised. He said, “Why did you not deny having money?” Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gillani (God be pleaseci with him) told the robbers' Chief that his mother had advised him to speak the.truth always. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">This had a deep effect on the Chief. He said, “Alas! I do not obey the commands of God while this little boy so faithfully follows the advice of his mother”. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Remorse became a guideline to show him the right path. He made up his mind to give up his bad ways of earning livelihood. He disbanded the gang and advised all the members to live an honest life. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Thus the example set by Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gillani (God be pleased with him) reformed all the robbers. He grew up to be a great religious leader and a pious saint. He is held in great esteem by millions of his followers and devotees. One day the tailor had a dispute with one of his customers. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">He was feeling unhappy and cross. Meanwhile the elephant arrived and put his trunk into his shop through the window to receive the friendly bun as usual. The tailor instead of giving a bun, pricked its trunk with a needle. The elephant felt hurt at this but silently went his way to drink. The elephant quenched his thirst and then filled his trunk with dirty, muddy water. It came back quickly put its trunk in, and emptied it. The whole of the shop looked as if plastered with mud. They were sincerely devoted to one another and made every sacrifice for Other muslims .Hazrat Abu Jahan Bin Huzafa tells us a wonderful story. It is really a true story which shows their great love, and their sense of sacrifice for one another. It relates to the battle of Yarmook.</span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: large;">He says, “1 set out in search of my cousin who was fighting on the battle front, I carried a water-skin to offer water to the thirsty soldiers. I found him lying seriously injured. He was about to die. I asked him if he wanted water.” “My cousin nodded. I offered him a cup of water. Just then there came a cry for water from Hashim Bin Abil Aas who was about to die. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">My cousin motioned to me to give the cup to him. When 1 came to Hisham, another cry was heard from a mujahid, not far from the former two. Hisham asked me to take the cup to him. I, therefore, went to the third one but he breathed his last before he could drink. I hurried back to Hashim. He had also died. Then I rushed back to my cousin but he too had left for his heavenly home.” How great were those good Muslims indeed! </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Kindness of the <b>Holy Prophet </b>(peace be upon him). </span><span style="font-size: large;">Once the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) went out on a journey along with some of bis companions. Birds were singing and chirping joyfully. One of the companions of the Holy Prophet (peace he upon him) saw a nest in a bush.</span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;"> It was the nest of sparrows and there were two sparrow chicks in it. He picked up the young sparrow. All at once the sparrows came crying and began to fly over his head.
