Each morning he rowed his skiff into the Gulf stream where the big fish were. Each evening he came empty-handed. <br /> The boy loved the old man and pitied him. Manolin had no money of his own. Santiago had enough fresh bait for his lines. The old man accepted his kindness with humility that was like a quiet kind of pride. At night alone in his shack, Santiago dreams of lions on the beaches of Africa where he had gone on a sailing ship years before. He no longer dreamed of his dead wife. <br /> On the eighty-fifth day, Santiago rowed out of the harbour in the cool dark before dawn. After leaving the land behind him, he set his lines. Two of his baits were fresh tunas the boy had given him, as well as sardines to cover his hooks. The lines went straight into deep dark water. As the sun rose, he saw other boats in towards shore, which was only a low green line on the sea.<br /> A hovering man of war showed him where dolphins were chasing some flying fish, but his shoal was moving too fast and too fast away. The bird circled again. This time Santiago saw tuna leaping in the sunlight. A small one took the hook on his stem line. Hauling the quivering fish aboard, the old man thought it a good omen. <br /> Toward noon, a marlin started nibbling at the bait which was one hundred fathom down. The fish did not surface instead, it began to tow the skiff to the northwest. Although he was alone and no longer strong, he Had his skill and knew many tricks. He waited patiently for the fish to tire. The old man shivered in the cold that came after sunset. When something took one of his remaining baits, he cut the line with his sheath knife.<br /> Once the fish lurched suddenly, pulling Santiago forward on his face and cutting his cheek. By dawn, his left hand was stiff and cramped. The fish headed northward there was no land in sight Another strong tug on the line sliced Santiago's right hand. The poet calls the top thick leaves 'rich' because they are growing profusely. He calls the lower thin leaves  'poor' because they are growing scantily . The sunlight fills the sky and illuminates each crevice of land. It  is indeed a lovely sight. <br />The first Stanza  divulges the effect of  of pouring rain. <br />It creates misty and shadowy  ambience. In contrast to it the second stanza heightens the impact of the brilliant sunshine. The first stanza creates auditory and visual images; while the second one creates a visual image when everything looks radiantly glowing. The whole poem highlights  the profound impact of both the rain and  the sun on humans. Both water and sunlight are necessary for fauna (animal life) and flora (plant life). The simultaneous  manifestation  of both is  indispensable  to create a sparkling rainbow. The  emergence of  the Sun is an image of hope, optimism and  happiness. After clay’s search, they find the talking skull but the skull does not say anything. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Kagwa requested the skull but the skull does not speak. We feel anxiety about Kagwa. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The soldiers of king orders Kagwa to kneel down and they kill him with swords. We found irony in the poem when Kagwa hurries to go home to tell about the talking skull to the king. Perhaps he wants to get reward but what does he get? He causes his own death. This is irony. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">So we see that the poet has used the elements of suspense and irony very skitffuDy and he has made the poem a masterpiece. </span></div>

In the same year he reprinted these two books with "The Story of Rimini "and "The Descent of Liberty" .The Indicator was his best book  in which some of his best work appeared. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;"><b>Keats</b> and <b>shellay</b> were his friends who were also great poets and writers. They all were liberal and he actually went prison due to his poems about liberty. The parents have deep love for their young ones. They feed them. They help them to grow and to become young. They cannot see them die of hunger or thirst. Girl was very beautiful.She was only eight years old. she had curly hairs.Her face was very fair. she was enjoing life with happiness.The poet asks her how many brothers and sisters she has. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">She replies that they are seven sisters and brothers. On further inquiry she says that two of her brothers live at Conway, two are sailors, one sister and one brother lie in their graves in the churchyard beside their cottage. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">The poet tells her that if two of them have died then they are only five sisters and brothers. But the little innocent girl does not agree with him. She insists that they are seven brothers and sisters. The little girl does not see death as adult people see it, as the final divide between the living and the dead. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Her dead brother and-sister have become an essential part of her memory and even death cannot make her forget them. Their green graves in a strange way strengthen her ties with them. In this poem the poet says that he tried to convince the girl that her one brother and one sister were dead. They were not living. Their souls were in heaven. So they were five and not seven. But it was useless to argue with that girl. She insisted that they were seven brothers and sisters.</span></div>

During their short journey, while they are rowing over the brightly flowing stream, they fall in love. The boatman asks her if he could demand her hand when he has taken her to her father’s land. She replies that it is a difficult question. However, she says that she likes his company. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">They get married and the boat becomes their home. Perhaps the poem gives expression to an experience he had in childhood  which he has never been able to forget. The poet hears a sudden cry of pain. Somewhere a rabbit is caught in a trap. The cry comes again and again but he cannot guess from where it is coming. In his imagination he can see the little rabbit, its paw caught In the trap and It's face twisted In pain.</span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;"> But he cannot find the place. The rabbit’s cries grow louder and louder till the whole atmosphere is filled with pain and fright. The poet searches everywhere but he cannot find the crying rabbit. The poem raises certain questions. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Why is there pain and cruelty in the world? </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Why do the innocent and the weak suffer? </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">Why cannot we remove pain? </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">These are the questions every child asks and every sensitive man asks. </span><br /> <span style="font-size: large;">This poem expresses the poet's sympathy for all those who are in pain and trouble. The poet hears a sudden cry of rabbit caught in a trap. The poet wants to help him but he is unable to do so.  The poet expresses his helplessness in finding out the place where the rabbit has been caught in the snare. He expresses his sympathy for the poor little creature. He searches for it everywhere but is unable to find it.
