The poem consists of six stanzas. In the first two stanzas the poet draws the picture of the falling of the evening. He says the day has passed away. The sun has set. The white stars have appeared in the sky. The long grass is wet with the dew drops.The darkness has fallen. The bats are flying in the air. Darkness is fearful. The poet is a noble man. He bows before God. last two stanzas the poet describes that God loves all his creatures.
He loves equally the rich, the poor, the great and the small. Since fGod is love we also must love one another and abolish hatred from this world. Then there will be peace and love everywhere The poet tells that it is evening. The day has passed.
The sun has set. Everything has drowned into dark. The stars have appeared in the sky. The grass is wet with dew. Darkness is fearful. The poet is not afraid of darkness. He is sure that God is always with him. He looks after all his creatures whether they are poor or rich, great or small. Since God is love we also must love one another
