Rosen
 is an ex-coffee salesman and has a good deal of experience about 
business. From his experience, he knows that Eva’s business would not 
flourish there. 
He advises Eva to take the 
money and her children and run away from there. However, Eva refuses to 
act upon his advice because she thinks that with the insurance money she
 can establish her business. She says that with the insurance money she 
will stock up and fix the store. She believes that she will be able to 
attract the customers by decorating the store. Therefore, she rejects 
this advice because of her optimistic approach. 
Secondly,
 he advises to marry someone, but she again refuses. She believes that 
nobody will marry her because she is a widow with two daughters. 
She
 believes that she cannot have happiness because all her life she has 
been suffering. Here she refuses because of her pessimistic point of 
view. We concluded that Rosen wanted to maintain the male superiority 
but Eva does not allow him to do so. 
When 
we go through the play “The Bear", we find that it is a farce. A farce 
is full of many absurd situations which make the readers laugh. There 
are three main characters in the play and they all make us laugh with 
their absurd comments. There are also many absurd situations. When the 
play starts, we see that Luka is advising Popova to leave her mourning 
and go out to see her neighbours. However, his way of advising her is 
very absurd. He gives the examples of cats, midges, and spiders. We 
simply laugh at these examples. Popova looks at the photograph of her 
husband and calls him a ‘bad child’. The word ‘bad child' makes us 
laugh. 
When Popova refuses to give Smirnov 
the money, he says, “I have not the pleasure of being either your 
husband or your finance, so please don’t make scenes.” These remarks are
 very funny and absurd and we laugh at them. When Popova accepts the 
challenge of duel from Smirnov, he says that he will bring her down like
 a chicken. The word ‘chicken’ is very funny. 
We
 find the most comic and absurd situation in the play when Popova brings
 her husband’s revolvers and asks Smirnov to teach her how to fire. This
 is very absurd that she asks her enemy to teach her how to fire. It is 
also very absurd that Smirnov starts teaching her. What a funny and 
absurd situation it is! He not only teaches her how to fire, but he also
 tells her the prices of different revolvers. Another situation is very 
funny when Popova changes her mind repeatedly. At one time, she asks him
 to leave and at another asks him to stay. 
From
 the above discussion, we can conclude that it is a farce and there are 
many comic and absurd elements in the play. The writer has created 
comedy through funny comments and absurd 
situations 
In his short story, Hawthorne uses symbols to represent the material 
versus the fantasy world. The use of imagination is rife in the story, 
especially with the thought of limitless possibilities science could 
attain. It has been said that Rappaccini's Daughter is actually a 
reference to the experiences of the author’s wife when she lived a 
sheltered childhood as a young girl.</div>
But the
 short story had a tragic ending compared to Hawthorne's real life. Many
 of the symbols and symbolic allusions are found in the setting of the 
story such as being set in Padua, with no specific time period. 
Most
 of the scenes take place in a garden which the author dubbed as a place
 of adultery. Significantly, the garden itself is a contradiction being 
filled on one hand with lush and beautiful plants but also filled with 
poisonous flowers. 
Rappaccini’s Daughter is,
 in fact, a heartbreaking story where none of the characters triumphs in
 the end. It is important to note another theme of the story which is 
betrayal that is seen in the characters 
of
 Giovanni and Beatrice. 
 As they fall in love, Giovanni creates a plan to
 save her but Beatrice neglects to mention her poisonous body. Giovanni 
who was poisoned in the process took this as an act of betrayal. Many 
would describe the plot of Rappaccini's Daughter as radical but this is 
only a reflection of the author’s real disposition being a 
transcendalist. 
The story highlights common 
predicaments men face when making life changing decisions. Giovanni was 
advised by an older men to stay away from Beatrice since she is a 
temptress another label degrading women by connoting their evilness. 
However, Lisabetta an older woman encourages Giovanni and even helps him
 enter the garden. 
When she meets Giovanni 
and falls in love she discovers, she can never be with him. When he 
attempts to cure her with an antidote, she takes it knowing that the 
antidote will act like poison to her. She chooses to die because she can
 never be with the man she loves.

Many times in our life we face failure like the hero of this novel, Santiago. But we have to struggle and proceed on and on and we should not care for the results. The honest and constant struggle has.importance which must be cared. When' wie are in a trouble, our near ones and dear ones cannot do anything. Manolin left Santiago when he needed him badly. Santiago struggled hard and caught Marlin but the sharks, deprived Santiago of his hard-earned fish. Santiago does not lose his heart and at the end of the novel we see him positive/ excited and hopeful for his success in fishing. The title of the novel make us believe that we must consider ourselves like a fisherman who is alone in the sea. Constant struggle must be our motto, no matter the result is success or failure.

Human trafficking is the largest growing criminal industry in the world. A human trafficker can earn up to 2,50,000 dollars per year when he purchases a girl, whereas illegal drugs are purchased and sold once before a new supply needs to be bought. He can sell her body up to 30 times per day for ten years or more, depending on the age she is at the time of purchase and her health. Here are some facts: 1. The average cost of a slave around the world is 90 dollars.  2. Trafficking primarily involves exploitation which comes in many forms, including:  Forcing victims into prostitution.  Subjecting victims to slavery or involuntary servitude.  Compelling victims to commit sex acts for the purpose of creating pornography. • Misleading victims into debt bondage. • According to some estimates, approximately 80% of trafficking involves sexual exploitation, and 19% involves labour exploitation. 3.  It is estimated that there are approximately 2.7 million  slaves around the world. 4. 68% of female sex trafficking victims meet the clinical criteria for post-traumatic stress disorder. 5: Around half, of trafficking victims in the world are under the age of 18. 6. Trafficked children are significantly more likely to develop mental health problems, abuse substances.7- Women who have been trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation experience a significantly higher rate of HIV and other STDs, tuberculosis, and permanent- a damage to their reproductive systems. 8. There is only one shelter in the U.S. designed specifically to meet the needs of trafficking victims, and it currently only houses a total of seven to nine victims. 9. Trafficking victims normally don’t seek help because they think that they or their families will be hurt by their traffickers, they will be deported or they will be charged. 10. When most of the population is illiterate, ignorant and extremely poor, even after more than half a century of independence, how can the country progress and he-prosperous? The second cause of the present economic crisis is the government policies that have not promoted scientific and technological studies. As a result, the country could not have a sound scientific base ..productive of scientists and experts Of a high order. Resultantly, the loans were either not paid on time or were defaulted. The wasted loans halted (he development of industry and agriculture as they had not been suitably invested. The sixth cause of the worsened economic situation is the defective economic policies of the government. We witnessed a few years ago the yellow cab scheme that yvas meant to provide taxi cars to poor deserving drivers on credit. The cars were obtained by richer people instead in the name of poor drivers. In line with such irregular policies, a motorway was constructed mostly on borrowed money at a huge cost. The governments, one after another, failed to. construct suitable dams In a proper number and as a result, the agriculture was badly affected and electricity production could not increase. The rates of electricity went very high after the government contracted with foreign companies named Independent Power Projects for the production of thermal power. Now the population is rising in lacs each year, and the common people -are hopelessly caught up in the whirlpool of unemployment or . underemployment and inflation. The International Monetary Fund and the advanced countries are not offering loans and help that they used to before Pakistan’s explosion of nuclear devices: In this situation,, we should remove all the causes of economic depression and start our journey anew along the road of economic development with the greatest effort, hope and confidence.

Explain system of Rituals of Islam (Ibadat)?Pillars of Islam The five pillars - the declaration of faith (shahada), prayer (salah), alms-giving (zakat), fasting (sawm) and pilgrimage (hajj) - constitute the basic norms of Islamic practice. They are accepted by Muslims globally irrespective of ethnic, regional or sectarian differences. Upholding the pillars is considered obligatory for all sincere followers of the Prophet Muhammad, male and female, Sunni and Shi‘a, but that doesn't mean that all those who identify as Muslims keep them consistently. As in all religions, circumstances vary and some people are more committed than others. Such things as age, stage of life, work, family responsibilities, health and wealth all make a difference. The pillars The Shahada is the fundamental statement of faith and commitment made by Muslims: “There is no God but God (Allah), and Muhammad is His Messenger.” It distinguishes Muslims from those of other faiths. The Shahada is perhaps better known in the West as the Arabic phrase on the flags of ISIS, al-Shabaab and Boko Haram. However, the Shahada is by no means the preserve of violent groups, in fact reciting it three times in front of witnesses isno means the preserve of violent groups, in fact reciting it three times in front of witnesses is a requirement of becoming a Muslim. Salah is the ritual prayer of Islam through which all Muslims conform to the will of Allah. Prayer is performed in the direction of Mecca five times a day. Friday is set aside as the day for congregational prayer (Jum’a). The ready knowledge that large numbers of Muslims will be gathered together for communal prayer has frequently been exploited by terrorist networks such as Islamic State. In 2015 and 2016, Shi‘a mosques were bombed in Kuwait, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Boko Haram has also attacked mosques in northern Nigeria. Places of worship full of people at prayer represent easy symbolic targets for suicide bombers, where maximum damage and loss of life can be achieved. The term zakat refers to the obligatory donation of a portion of a Muslim’s surplus wealth. Islamic charities encourage donors to use their services to relieve suffering and to help refugees, victims of environmental disasters, the urban poor and those in conflict zones and in recent years relief has been provided in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and Iraq. Whilst the majority of charities operate within the law, some have been banned following allegations that they have used their resources to fund terrorist activities. Sawm - Muslims arc expected to fast during Ramadan - the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. During daylight hours (which vary depending on the time of year in which Ramadan falls), they abstain from food and drink, sexual activity and smoking, breaking the fast with a meal after sunset. Those who are elderly, ill, pregnant or breast-feeding are exempt, and children are not required to participate. Completing the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, is a duty that every Muslim should perform during their lifetime. All pilgrims should be in good physical and spiritual health before they make the journey. Whilst in Mecca, they complete a series of individual and collective actions on the various days of their visit, following a pattern set by Muhammad. Some two million Muslims from around the world went on Hajj in 2015. The 25,000 pilgrims who travelled from the UK joined thousands of Muslims from many other countries, all performing the same rituals irrespective of their many differences. Knowing something about the five pillars and their significance for Muslims isn't just important to correct misunderstandings about what Muslims believe, it is also important in the work environment and for good working relations. For example, Muslim colleagues may request breaks and a space for prayer as well as support whilst fasting during Ramadan or annual leave at the time of the Hajj. These are important issues for all Muslims, and not markers of fundamentalism. Understanding this better can help overcome prejudices about muslims. System of Rituals of Islam (Ihadat) To some writers, Islam provides a clear enunciation of ritual. They simply equate ritual (in Islam) with ‘ibadat, and ‘ibadat with the five pillars. The Arabic word ibadat (sing, ‘ibada) which literally means to enslave oneself (to God), when it is used as a religious term, refers to the ordinances of divine worship. For example, Bousquet prefers to define ‘ibadat as: submissive obedience to a master, and therefore, religious practice, corresponds, together with its synonyms ta'a, in the works of fikh, approximately to the ritual of Muslim law ..., as opposed to the mu’amala. Bousquet's definition of ‘ibadat to denote ritual in Islam is strongly ‘fiqh’ (Islamic jurisprudence) orientated. He even warns us not to translate ‘ibadat as ‘cult’ if we are to follow credible theoretical understanding. He urges: If we translate ‘ibadat with ‘cult’ we are committing something of theoretical error . for it has quite correctly been said that, strictly speaking, Islam knows no more of a cult, properly speaking, than . . . it does of law; nor, we should add, of ethics. Fikh is, in fact, a deontology (the statement of the whole corpus of duties, of acts whether obligatory, forbidden or recommended, etc.) which is imposed upon man It is clear that the Cirebonese see ‘ibadat from two different perspectives, specific (khusus) or narrow and general (umum) or broad, and thus bring the concept of ibadat into ambiguity. The Cirebonese, however, have a complex enunciation of how this ambiguity is clarified and understood, at least for themselves. Actually, Rippin and Denny are not unaware of Bosquet's over-statement on the issue. Rippin's words that ibadat is the ‘centre’ and Denny’s use of the word ‘basic’ or ‘main’ in referring to ibadat, in the context of ritual in Islam, indicate their awareness of the existence of other ibadat which do not belong to this ‘central’, ‘basic’ or ‘main’ category. Rippin's position becomes clearer when he also states that to the extent to which Muslim identity is expressed, ritual is not limited to the five pillars although the prominence of the grouping is obviously high. He notes that the mawlid festival celebrating the birth of the prophet Muhammad, various informal du'a prayer (invocations), and visits to tombs are ‘additional’ ritual-type activities which are considered by many Muslims to be significant for the expression of their faith. It is true that many Muslims deny that these ‘additional’ practices which go beyond the enactment of the five pillars belong to ‘ibadat or Islamic ritual. They even denounce these activities as sinful innovations and condemn their observants for committing sin. Actually, Rippin and Denny are not unaware of Bosquet’s over-statement on the issue. Owing to Bousquct's definition it is not surprising that Rippin (1990) asserts that ritual in Islam centres on the five pillars. Rippin considers the notion of the five pillars represents the epitome of the revealed law as enacted through ritual activity. The five actions embedded in the five pillars —the witness to faith (syahadat), prayer (salat), charity (zakat), fasting (sawm), and pilgrimage (hajj)— being an integral part of the belief system and a part of the explication of theological statements of belief, are duties for which each individual is responsible, separate from general ethics and rules of interpersonal relationship. At this stage Rippin implies that what he meant with his statement that ritual in Islam ‘centres’ on the five pillars refers to what is found in the treatises of fiqh. In fiqh books ‘ibadat is discussed separately from other subjects such as mu'amalat (rules of economic contract), munakahat (rules of marriage), jinayat (rules of expiation), hudud (rules of punishment), faraidl (rules of inheritance) and jihad (rules of warfare). Another writer also adopts a similar perspective. Denny (1985:69) points out that the most ‘basic’ term for ritual in Islam is ‘ibadat, meaning worship or service of inferiors toward their superior, their Lord. Denny clearly uses the term ‘ibadat to refer to the same activities noted by Rippin. Denny says that all of the official duties of Islam are subsumed under ‘ibadat, the At the point at which the fiqh is concerned, it is clear indeed, as all Muslims unanimously agree that the enactment of the five pillars is undeniably and undoubtedly ‘ibadat. Nevertheless, Islam cannot be reduced to fiqh and thus, ibadat is more than the enactment of the five pillars. There are many other activities which are not set down in fiqh. The equation of ritual in Islam with ‘ibadat and then ‘ibadat with the five pillars to some extent is warranted but should not be overemphasised because seen in a different context it could be misleading.
