THE ROBBERS TURNED GOOD CITIZENS

Man can not attain moral purity until he becomes truthful.Truth yields the fruits of trust and reliability.Walt whiteman ,an American poet says ,"Whatever satsfies the soul is truth."
Once the parents of Abdul Qadir Gilani decided to send him to Baghdad for learning.At the time of his
departure .his mother gave him forty gold coins .
She advised him to speak the truth always.With a Carvan ,he started ,he started his journey to Baghdad.On the way a gang of robbers attacked the carvans and robbed the passengers of their possessions .One of the dacoits came to Abdul Qadir and asked him what he owned.
Abdul Qadir where those coins were.Abdul Qadir said that they were sewn in his clothes.The robber was impressed with his truthfulness.He tok Abdul Qadir to his leader and told him the whole incident.The leader asked Abdul Qadir why he had not saved his money by telling a lie.Abdul Qadir said that his mother had advised him to speak the truth always.Therefore,he had acted upon his mother's advice.This reply of Abdul Qadir moved the leader to tears .He returend the looted luggage to the Passengers,and gave up the evil deeds forever.
Possible Morals:

(1) Truth always triumphs

(2) Virtue generates virtue
