Question no 1: In Unit 1 you learnt how to talk about people. Write a paragraph about your cousin regarding his traits. For example, his appearance, his name, address, school, hobbies etc.

Answer:
My cousin is a person with a great sense of humor, which makes him popular among everyone. He is 16 years old. He is studying in class tenth at the Pak public school, Lahore he is five feet seven inches. He is slim and active. He has fair complexion with an oval face. He has brown eyes and black hair. Both his parents are school teachers. He has two brothers and one sister. Riaz intends to become a doctor. He loves to play cricket. He has many friends but Ali is his best friend. Riaz likes eating biryani. He dislikes proud people.
Question no 2: In Unit 1 you read how to ask questions. Use WH questions forms to write questions for the following answers:

Question no 3: Suppose you are a buyer and you want to purchase a car. Write a dialogue between you and the seller of the car.

Buyer: Hey!
Seller: Hello sir, welcome.
Buyer: I am here to buy a car. Could you please help me with that?
Seller: Sure, sir. Which car do you want?
Buyer: Could you please brief about Dzire and Ciaz? So that I could decide which one I want to go for.
Seller: Sure, sir. We will have a look at Dzire first. It’s a sedan car. Which model do you need?
Buyer: Tell me about the VXI features.
Seller: Sure, in this you will get a desk lamp with parking sensors, you will also get power windows on both front and back.
Buyer: How much will this cost?
Seller: On road price for this will be 8 Lakhs 50 Thousand.
Buyer: What about Ciaz?
Seller: In Ciaz you will get auto gear, with parking sensors, power window, sunroof, wiper for the back mirror as well.
Buyer: What is the on-road price for Ciaz?
Seller: 10 Lakhs 25 Thousand including all the accessories
Buyer: I will go for Ciaz.
Seller: Sure, sir. How about payment?
Buyer: I will make the complete payment by check.
Seller: Sure, sir. We will get your car ready in a while.
Buyer: Ok!
Question no 4: In Unit 2 you have learnt about professions. Follow the example given below and write the job duties of the following people. Example: A sweeper is the person who comes to sweep my home daily.

Cook
A Cook plans, prepares, and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers.
Shopkeeper
A shopkeeper owns and runs one independent shop or a number of shops. A major part of the work is serving and selling to customers, either at a counter or self-service checkout. Shopkeepers take payments, give change and wrap purchases, as well as answering enquiries and giving advice to customers.
Banker
A banker is one engaged in the business of receiving other persons money in deposit, to be returned on demand discounting other persons' notes, and issuing his own for circulation. One who performs the business usually transacted by a bank.
Housewife
A woman whose main occupation is caring for her family, managing household affairs, and doing housework, while her husband or partner goes out to work.
Student
A student is a person who goes to school and is learning something. Students can be children, teenagers, or adults who are going to school, but it may also be other people who are learning, such as in college or university. A younger student is often called a pupil.

Extrovert
Extroverts are those people who are social by nature, like to make friends, love to socialize and arrange parties and other fun activities. They are “doers” and like to keep themselves busy.
• Like to have a lot of friends
• Fond of partying
• Love sharing things and personal details
• Love crowds
• Good conversationalists
Introvert
Introverts, on the other hand are quieter, less social, keep their feelings, thoughts and ideas to themselves and take very little interest in social gatherings and functions. In fact, most them are “thinkers.”
• Like to be on their own, enjoy one’s own company
• Dislike socializing and partying
• Hate disclosing personal details
• Avoid large gatherings and crowds
• Don’t like to be noticed
Hobbies
A hobby is something you enjoy doing in your free time. It is an activity that helps you relieve stress and tension.
For example, playing chess, reading books, writing, cooking, traveling, etc. Are prominent examples of hobbies.
