civilization. It is far better and useful than reading about those 
people. We absorb the good qualities of those nations in our own self, 
and thus become a better citizen.  </span><span style="font-size: large;">Travel makes our approach objective. We form a habit of adopting ourselves to different modes of living. We get a  </span><br /></div>

 to stand various hardships. We happen to develop more confidence in us 
as compared with those people who have had no travel. We form the habit 
of showing tolerance towards others because during travel we meet 
strange people with strange habits.  </span><br />

 widens our vision and understanding. We come out of the narrow shell 
that he have built around us. It makes us see life and its different 
shades and colours. Thus after travelling we feel less gloomy.  </span><br />

 traveller or a tourist is best informed about the places he has 
visited, than a scholar who has only stuffed his brain with theoretical 
knowledge. A traveller not only learns about other, but also works as an
 ambassador for his own country. He fosters universal peace and

 long as we remain in our country, we remain busy in doing hundred and 
one duties. We get little opportunity to be in contact with Nature. But 
when we are out for journey, we enjoy Nature from close quarters. On the

 and different lands. In the modern days the aeroplane has increased our
 charm of travel, because with in hours we fly from one place to the 
other. We have comparatively less time to see things and meet less 
people. But travel by sea or land gives us ample opportunity to see

 Lincoln was born in a log cabin. His father was a poor farmer. He was 
himself an uneducated man add did not have any formal education. At the 
age of six Abraham Lincoln who was popularly called ‘Abe’ by his parents
 did all sorts of household jobs i.e, to fetch water, using a small axe 
and gathering sticks for fires, which were so much needed in cold  </span><br />

 days. When his family migrated to the state of Indiana, Abe helped his 
father in making the new. home. His father taught him how to shoot when

 I like several TV programme it is "Mauj Darya" that I like most. It is 
an interesting programme that deals with our social problems.We have 
this programme every week in the evening, and when it starts, I run to 
my TV in joy. It is in the form of a series of plays, speeches, 
discussions, interviews, stories, songs and music. If one week we have 
drama, another week we have discussion, next we enjoy stories, and so 
on. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The
 new "form" or "shape" of the programme every week does not let it 
become boring.
The subject of "Mauj Darya" are as different as the problems in our 
society. They can be unemployment, overpopulation, corruption in 
different forms, smuggling, black-marketing, the use of drugs, housing 
problems, marriage problems, educational problems, the political 
situation in our country and in other countries, wars in different parts
 of the world, terrorism, and so on</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">.
 9If one week, for example, we have a drama on a overpopulation or 
family planning, another week we have a discussion on our educational 
problems. The most famous and expert actors, directors and producers are
 associated with this programme. Such a complex programme based on so 
many subjects cannot be a one-man show most of the time. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">In
 a surprisingly pleasant manner, "Mauj Darya" at times suggests quite 
useful solutions to our social problems. For example, in one 0f its 
educational sessions it made it- quite clear that the main trouble with 
our country was illiteracy or ignorance. The question »How can we 
educate all our people well" was discussed by leading educationalists 
and some brilliant college and university students. They all agreed that
 the social system in the country stood in the way of "true education 
for all." The social and economic system needed an urgent reform. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The
 end of the big landowners and capitalists could be the beginning of 
proper education. These big lords, lid not want their millions of 
workers and labourers or the poor children to study well.
The Programme brings to our.knowledge the country's scientific and 
technological progress through interviews, discussions and 
demonstrations.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> It
 will be highly beneficial if we can view the latest scientific 
achievements around the world. For example, the development -of various 
computers, satellites; picture telephones, musical instruments and 
surgical methods can be presented or dramatized interestingly.

A song with excellent music is usually presented at the end of each 
programme.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> It is purely artistic and it pleases us with [ firte tunes, voices and verses.

Such a programme can continue for a long time without [ becoming a burden on the viewers. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Ans:<br />The
 poem "Patriot into Traitor" is a dramatic monologue. A leader is 
talking to himself and revealing his inner feelings to the readers. 
Monologue is a tool used by drama writers and poets to bring the inner 
feelings of a character out. <br />A political leader in this poem is 
talking to himself. He was considered patriot by the people of his 
country a year ago but now the situation has been totally changed. He is
 termed as a traitor. He recalls his memories as a favourite leader for 
his nation. A year ago, there were thousands of people on the house-tops
 to welcome him.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> They
 were chanting slogans in his favour. There were red flags everywhere to
 give him a warm welcome. The people were offering flowers as a token of
 their love and respect. The bells in the churches were being rung to 
welcome him. <br />But now just after one year there is nobody on the 
house-tops to welcome him. There are no flowers on his way. He is being 
taken with his hands tied on his back. He is being taken to a place 
where he is to be hanged. The people are throwing stones at him. There 
are only a few old people sitting in the windows of their houses. 
Thousands of people are there on the place where he is to be hanged.. <br />This shift in the behaviour of the people is drastic. He cannot understand why he is being treated in this way. <br />In
 fact, in the third world countries, the people are facing a lot of 
problems. They elect a leader in the hope that he win deliver but due to
 insufficient resources these leaders cannot solve all the problems. As a
 result, they declare these leaders as traitors. </span><br />

 Emerson was a weak woman. She was an employer of a newspaper. She had a
 bad back and uncertain ankle. But she wanted to do something great that
 would surprise others. So she decided to take a plunge from a 
parachute. She joined a training dub at Orange. She was timid and 
physically weak. Everyone was expecting that she would harm herself. <br />Finally,
 the day came when she was about to take a plunge from the parachute. 
She was so excited and nervous as well. She wanted to go to bathroom 
before her jumping but she could not because of her costume. She was 
looking strange in jumping costume .At last she jumped. She felt like a 
leaf. She enjoys the waves of air. She saw the beautiful colours of land
 that was never expressed. She did not want to land but she had to. She 
enjoyed her experience very much and she proved herself a brave lady.</span><br />
