6. Conclusion.
Elections are part and parcel of a democratic system. Through this process, the will of a nation is reflected.
But in the third world countries generally the elections are rigged. The capitalists .and the business mafia consider elections as a chance to invest, to get the favourable results, so that they may influence the government to get their evil designs fulfilled. In the advanced and civilized countries, free and fair elections are held.
The candidates present their manifesto before the people in their speeches in public or on T.V. Debates are arranged among the representatives of different political parties and they present the solution of the problems of the country in the light of the manifesto of their respective political
parties. The public listen to them and analyse to vote against or  3 particular political party.
The representatives of political parties face the' criticism and answer in- a civilized manner. They do not take it as personal attack rather they are always open to criticism to improve.
On the other hand, in developing countries, the situation s totally different. Election is harbinger of violence in third world countries. The people take it as a matter of life and death. Nobody can tolerate criticism.
The candidates run after the people to get votes but when they are elected, they refuse to recognize them. Their.basic job is to legislate in the parliament but as ill-luck would have it, most of our representatives are not well-educated. They invest the money and become members of legislative assemblies.
We should take election as a process, which must be free and fair. Vote for the people or political parties which are patriot. Avoid violence and adopt a truly democratic behaviour.
