He visited the old man for seven nights at midnight but the eye was closed. He could not kill the old man. Old man’s vulture eye was’horrible for which he wanted to kill him. On the eighth night, he succeeded to kill the old man. After murder, he dragged the dead body to floor and cut into pieces the corpse. He deposited the pieces and placed the planks over them. Nobody, experience detective can imagine any foul play there. <br />The killer tried to deceive the police men cleverly but they continued chatting. He could no longer withstand the mockery of their talking. They seemed to have known hrs secret. He could not tolerate their hypocritical smile at the us some dark aspects of modern American society, Ole Anderson was a tall fellow and had been heavyweight prize fighter. We see him lying on the bed with his full clothes on and with his head on two pillows. He was looking at the wall while lying on his bed. They should take necessary steps to solve this problem. Our city is famous city in Pakistan and the world as a tourist destination and as a business point of view. Every month a business fair takes place in this city but due to worsening of law and order situation, the visit of tourists has stopped and businessman is also withdrawing their participation which is a serious matter for future of our country. The streets in this area are very dangerous and streets criminal are doing robberies without any hurdles. They snatch precious things from people like Android cell phones, amount etc and in case of resistant they directly kill them. People are now fed up and wanted to leave this city. People demand that Armed forces should take the Govt must handed over the charge to Armed forces to control law and order situation. Economic backwardness and unemployment among youths are increasing rapidly that is important reason to take them to the path of crime like theft and any many of them are becoming terrorist just for the sake of earning money.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"> The whole part of the country is under the grip of criminal activities. It has been observed that poverty levels, economic flux, increasing corruption, illiteracy rate, huge unemployment, inflation, recent energy crisis and over population are increasing day by day. Harassment of journalists, some censorship, and self-censorship were problems. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">There were some restrictions on freedom of assembly. Corruption was widespread within the government and lower levels of the police forces, and the government made few attempts to combat the problem. Rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment, horror crimes, abuse, and discrimination against women remained * serious problems. Religious freedom violations, as well as- violence and discrimination against religious minorities continued. Child abuse and exploitive child labour were - problems. Widespread human trafficking, including exploitation of bonded laborers by landowners; forced child labour, and commercial sexual exploitation of children remained problems, as did lack of respect for worker rights. <br />Some killings of individuals accused of crimes allegedly resulted from extreme physical abuse while in official custody. <br />During the year, the non-governmental organization (NGO) Society for Human Rights and Prisoners’ Aid (SHARP) reported 72 civilian deaths after encounters with police and 168 deaths in jails, an increase from the previous year. The police * stated that these deaths occurred when suspects attempted to escape, resisted arrest, or committed suicide. Human rights observers, family members, and the media reported that security forces staged many of the deaths. Lengthy trial delays and failures to discipline and consistently prosecute those responsible for abuses contributed to a culture of impunity. <br />Mob violence remained a problem. During the year, politically motivated disappearances continued. There were reports of disappearances In nearly all areas of the country. In May, the commission held several meetings and recorded statements of family members and government officials. The HRCP reported that the creation of a commission on enforced disappearances did not appear to satisfy the hopes of the families of those who disappeared. <br />The law prohibits torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment, but there Were reports that security forces, including intelligence services, tortured and abused individuals in custody. But I like most Syed Abdullah Shah Qadri (1680-1757) popularly known as Bulleh Shah, who was a Mughal-era Punjabi Muslim sufi poet, a humanist and philosopher. His first spiritual teacher was Shah Inaybt Qadri, a sufi murshid of Lahore. Bulleh Shah gathered spiritual treasures under the guidance , of his murshid and was known for the karamat (miraculous powers) he had. <br />Bulleh Shah is believed to have been born in 1680, in the small village of Uch, Bahawalpur, Punjab, in Pakistan. His ancestors had migrated from Bukhara in modern Uzbekistan. When he was Six months old, his parents relocated to Malakwal. There his father, Shah Muhammad Darwaish, was a preacher in the village mosque and a teacher. His father later got a job in Pandoke, about 50 miles southeast of Kasur. Bulleh Shah received his early schooling in Pandoke, and moved to Kasur for higher education. He also, received education from <br />Maulana Mohiyuddin. His spiritual teacher was the eminent sufi saint, Shah Inayat Qadri. <br />A large amount of what is known about Bulleh Shah comes through legends, and is subjective; to the point that there isn't even agreement among historians concerning his precise date and place of birth. Some "facts” about his life have been pieced together from his own writings. Other “facts" seem to have been passed down through oral traditions. Bulleh Shah practised the sufi tradition of Punjabi poetry established by poets like Shari Hussain, Sultan Bahu, and Shah Sharaf. Bulleh Shah lived in the same period as the famous Sindhi sufi poet, Shah Abdul Latif Bhatai. His life-span also overlapped . with the legendary Punjabi poet Waris Shah, of Heer Ranjha fame, and the famous Sindhi sufi poet Abdul Wahad, better known by his pen-name, Sacha! Sarmast. <br />His verse form Bulleh Shah primarily employed is the kafi, popular in Punjabi (Saraiki) and Sindhi poetry. Bulleh Shah's writings represent him as a humanist, someone providing solutions io the sociological problems of the world around him as he lives through it, describing the turbulence his motherland of Punjab is passing through, while concurrently searching for God. His poetry highlights his mystical spiritual voyage through the four stages of sufism: Shariat (Path), Tariqat (Observance), Haqiqat (Truth) and Ma’arfat (Union). The simplicity with which Bulleh Shah has been able to address the complex fundamental issues of life and humanity is a large part of his appeal. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The verse form Bulleh Shah primarily employed is called the kafi, a style of Punjabi, Sindhi and Siraiki poetry used not only by the sufis of Sindh and Punjab, but also by Sikh gurus. Bulleh Shah’s poetry and philosophy, strongly criticizes Islamic religious orthodoxy of his day. <br />Bulleh Shah’s time was marked with communal strife between Muslims and Sikhs. But in that age, Baba Bulleh Shah was a beacon of hope and peace for the citizens of Punjab. While Bulleh Shah was in Pandoke, Muslims killed a young Sikh man who was riding through their village in retaliation for murder of some Muslims by Sikhs. Baba Bulleh Shah denounced the murder of an innocent Sikh and was censured by the Mullas and Muftis of Pandoke. Bulleh Shah maintained  that violence which was not the answer to violence. Bulleh Shah also hailed Guru Tegh Bahadur as a ghazi and incurred the wrath of the fanatic Muslims at the time. Banda Singh Bairagi was a contemporary of Bulleh Shah. In retaliation for the murder of Guru Gobind Sinigh’s two sons by Aurangzeb, he sought revenge by killing common Muslims. Baba Bulleh Shah tried to convince Banda Singh Bairagi to renounce his campaign of revenge. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Bulleh Shah told him that the same sword which fell upon Guru Gobind Singh's sons and innocent Sikhs also fell upon innocent Muslims. Hence killing innocent Muslims was not the answer to Aurangzeb's reign of oppression. <br />Bulleh Shah’s writings represent him as a humanist someone providing solutions to the sociological problems of the world around him as he lives through it, describing the turbulence his motherland of Punjab is passing through, while concurrently searching for God. Thus, many people have put his kafis to music, from humble street-singers to renowned sufi singers. Bulleh Shah's popularity stretches uniformly across Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims, to the point that much of the written material about this philosopher is from Hindu and Sikh authors. <br />Bulleh Shah was an evolved soul, a perfect faqir and a true lover. Through the love for his Master, he realized the Lord. In his love, one finds sincerity, sacrifice and renunciation. His writings, as also his life, manifest transcendence of physical love to divine love. Indeed, this is the path of all true mystics, all true lovers of God. </span></p>

For many people, education means the acquisition of scientific knowledge. It is but natural, therefore, that science should be the most important factor in the scheme of things. Civilization consists now ip the ability to possess and use the mechanical ; aids that science provides, and civilized life requires a knowledge of the things that science has produced. This being so, science has come to have an increasingly important place in modem education. No,education is complete if it has not been at least partially scientific. <br />No education can be complete today if it is entirely a "liberal* education, that is, if the study of some science has not been a part of it..The world is so dominated by the achievements of science that a man who has not some training in scientific matters will be hardly fitted for modern civilized life. <br />At every turn, in almost every walk of life, an acquaintance with scientific things is necessary. If a man's education has consisted of only the arts, it will be a one-sided education, not suited to the conditions of modern life. - <br />But the value of science as part of one’s education is not merely that it enables one to be at home in this scientific age. <br />The study of science in itself is a discipline. It makes one less prone to take things on the evidence of hearsay; one is more inclined to experiment and to test. Nothing is worth believing that has not been actually proved.* A scientific.education enables one to be more observant, and to be more cautious in coming to conclusions. It teaches one to analyse and examine things and not to be satisfied with appearances. For more important than the mere knowledge that science brings the scientific attitude of mind which a scientific study helps us to acquire. There is need for sentiment, imagination, passion, poetry, but there is, equally, the need for looking at things with a scientific spirit. Many of the ills of man are due to the fact that he has refused to face them scientifically, but has allowed sentiment and passion to cloud the issues. The public reposes confidence in the Government, due to its result-oriented policies, saved the country from economic collapse. It is true that the poor have not yet received the benefits of his policies and has promised that the masses will benefit financially in the near future. <br />Poverty alleviation is the government’s top priority. Fortunately, it has found time to address the core issue of rejonning judiciary, which needs a major surgery and blood transfusion to make it operational and more efficient. <br />Our judicial system, by and large, is based on laws prevalent during the imperialist days but modified to an extend under the Pakistan Penal Code to give them better cosmetic look. The system has failed to deliver, as it should have. For a poor man at the grass-root level a litigant goes in and out of court in the hope of getting quick justice. The common man <br />feels that as compared to a rich and Influential person he stands no chance to get a fair deal. <br />Justice is costly both In terms of lawyer fees end the court fees Imagine for a claim of rupees one lakh you have to cough out rupees 7,000 as court fee Can a poor man afford it, including the lawyer fee? <br />When we talk of revamping streamlining the system, we have to address the areas In which the system is bogged down due to practices that have impeded the flow of justice unhindered. The lawyers' community may be one party to consult but the major affectees are the litigants whose difficulties need to be assessed if any relief is to be given The consensus amongst the litigants at present is that they commit a blunder of knocking at the doors of justice.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"> Leave aside the delay in the finalisation of their cases, perpetual slogging m and out of the courtrooms with no list in sight at the other end of the tunnel makes them dejected and firings along a psychological pressure, which is nerve-wrecking. What then are the litigants <br />facing the problems? <br />On daily basis, a judge has to deal with 50 to 55 oases. He has eight duty hours-and with lunch and tea break he is left with seven working hours a day. For 50 cases, he can accord eight minutes per case if he works persistently, His reader selects 10 to 15 cases for detailed hearing on that day. The litigants left over are given another day which may extend to two months’ period. Now it is routine and seventy percent of the litigants move out of the courtroom dejected perhaps cursing the system.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A reasonable number of cases are assigned to tire judge so that he deals with the cases fairly. There is no value of the time of a litigant. He reports at 8 am and awaits a cal to go in. No one is bothered. <br />To get a case, adjourned is simple, Gough out some money to the reader and you get the adjournment for a period of your choice. Simple as that! Then there is the adjournment sought by the lawyer. This may be on flimsy grounds like absence of a witness, non-availability of a document, Anything that would impress the judge to give adjournment, there should be strict law that must be enforced. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A judge must reprimand a habitual lawyer who seeks adjournments. Very rare is a lawyer reprimanded In this aspect. <br />The standard of police investigations is well-known to everyone. Investigation cells have been created and this responsibility has been segregated from normal police duties. An ASI or a §ub-lnspector can hardly read an application in English. Investigation is an art that has to be learnt. The Police believe in third degree methods. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">These are outdated and the Police blow its trumpet by getting forced confessions. The judges during trial can foresee faulty investigations and per­force they are compelled to let go a criminal due to lack of evidence. There should be an appropriate law to give desecration to the judges to punish if their conscience is satisfied that a concerned person has committed a crime. The police officials must undergo special investigation courses arranged by the, Ministry of Interior with Scotland Yard or the FBI. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A close cooperation with these set-ups will polish investigation techniques in vogue with our police force. Some Of high-ranking officials Of the level of ASP or SPs are detailed to attend such courses abroad.The judge when inducted in service attends a basic course to familiarise him with judicial procedures at Islamabad- Lahore Academy, Thereafter ng specialised training is imparted to him in his subsequent service to upgrade his professional skills. <br />The existing courtrooms give, a gloomy picture of environment within and around the court premises.. There are no adequate seating arrangements within the room. As a result, the litigants squat outside the courtroom sitting on the floor. <br /></span></p>

The journey towards the goal causes much distress and much pain. His wounded hands symbolize the rebuffs suffered by a man in the course of his efforts. The long and strong resistance shows that it is easy to get high ideals of life. The old man wins a victory oyer the marlin by means of will-power, technique and strategy. The memories, the thoughts of DiMaggio and Manolin, African beaches and his own wrestling defeating a Negro have symbolic significance. All these represent that man is ever alone but he has to fight the battle of life alone. <br />During his fight against Marlin or sharks, he speaks many times, “I wish the boy was here and I wish I had the boy”. The boy is a source of youth’s courage. He also remembers the help of the boy. He is compelled to hang on the line after hooking the Marlin. He thinks no one should be alone in the old age. <br />It seems that sharks have defeated the Old Man. Santiago has failed to save his huge Marlin from sharks. But the . writer wants to clarify that there is a lot of “gain” in the “loss” of big fish. The Old Man is winner against the hostile forces. He comes out of his conflict with human dignity and un-ended courage. He fights undauntedly and saves his honour. He is not defeated by the big fish. He fights like a warrior. He does well with all his energy, strength and courage. <br />Santiago in his difficult time is supported by the memories of the lions and the boy which are the symbols of his youth times. Through the double vision of the boy and the lions, he recollects the golden time of his youth and strength. This story when viewed in this way can be called as a parable of youth and age. <br /><br /></span></p>

Forster’s essay “Tolerance” expresses the argument in favour of tolerance. Though morality teaches us that we should love one another, yet practically each two of us are the hidden or open enemies of each other. Theoretically, the Christian civilizations of the Middle Ages (the period in European history between antiquity and the Renaissance, often dated from A.D. 476 to 1453 in particular but from AD 500 to 1500 in general) tried again and again to spread love among mankind but practically they failed in their mission. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Similarly, the French Revolution (1789-1799) tried theoretically to propagate love among human beings but practically it also failed in the  actualization of its motto. So love, though a great force in private life, is ineffective in public affairs. Instead of giving publicity to love, we should teach all nations, business concerns and marketing boards to tolerate eagh other and likewise a man in Portugal to tolerate a man in Peru. We chant sentimental songs of love and the world goes on as inimical as before, if we tolerate our opponents, we are sure to avoid any type of war and thus enjoy peaceful co-existence. </span></p>

Like many other countries of Asia, Pakistan, too, was a victim of colonialism. During the period when these countries were being ruled by foreigners, the Western nations were making rapid progress in science and technology. Pakistan and many other countries lagged behind because either their material and intellectual resources were not fully tapped or they were ruthlessly exploited by their foreign rhasters. <br />The backwardness of Asian countries and the material and intellectual advancement of the Western world have created an imbalance in the world. If it were not corrected soon, it would only destabilize the peace of the world. The Western world, therefore, in its own interest should create conditions which are essential for maintaining peace in the world. It must not shun its responsibility. It should pragmatically demonstrate that true democracy is international in character and need to be practised everywhere. <br />Another point that Liaquat Ali Khan made was about the sharing of Western knowledge, skills -and experience with the underdeveloped countries so that they, too, could make. material progress. He thought that many Americans agreed with him so far as democracy and its development in Pakistan was concerned. They were convinced that a strong Pakistan was a good omen for peace. <br />Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan stated that between the early history of the USA and those of Pakistan, initially, both were dominated by the British and had an agricultural background. Americans touched the pinnacle or glory by practising individual and civil liberties. Pakistan, too, hoped to follow their footsteps and aspired to emerge as a stable democracy and prosperous country. It would cooperate in the promotion of world peace, help maintain security of peaceful countries and contribute towards the happiness of mankind.. He hoped that America and Pakistan would work together in this direction. <br /></span>

David R. Scott and James B. Irwin did the same in 1971. Their companion, Alfred M. Warden, circled overhead. The vehicle, in which they landed on the moon, was called The Lunar Module (LM). The LM, when touched the surface of the moon; raised a lot of dust which blinded the astronauts to such an extent that they had to grope their way down. <br />Scott and Irwin, before they landed on the moon, had flown around it for two hours. The sun was shining dazzlingly and their eyes were hurt. The moonscape stretched long and wide and everything looked the colour of milk, chocolate. As the sun rose higher, plains, canyons and mountains looked grey. <br />On the moon surface, Scott was pleasantly surprised to see a wonderful variety of topography. He found an 11,000 foot ridge, the heights of a summit, a deep winding gorge and a great mountain. All these things appeared gorgeous, splendid and beautiful, but there was no sign of life: no wind blew, no rain fell. <br />There was another surprise in store for the astronauts in terms of weight and movement They weighed only 1/6 of their weight on the earth. Their movements .were light and easy, but to start and to stop posed problems. If they fell down, they were not much injured because the impact was quite slight as the gravitational pull of the moon is. only one-sixth of the earth. <br />Scott was fascinated by the lunar plains and mountains. Strange emotions surged in his heart. "I am an intruder in an eternal wilderness," be thought. There was no snqw on the moon, only dust; something between coal dust and talcum powder. <br />The atmosphere of the moon was engulfed in total silence; no wind blew and no sound was heard. Only shadows moved and the appearances were deceptive. It was difficult to determine whether an object was near or distant, large or small. <br /></span><br /><br /></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></p>
