us some dark aspects of modern American society. Ote Anderson was a tall fellow and had been heavyweight prize fighter. We see him lying on the bed with his full clothes on and with his head on two pillows.
He was looking at the wall while lying on his bed. The hired killers are searching for him. They wanted to kill Ole Anderson just to oblige some friends but he has lost all the charm of his life. When Nick went to him just to inform him about the killers, he saw him lying on the bed.
He informed him about the murderers but he took no heed at all and keeps on lying on the bed. The question arises why he took no notice of Nick’s warning. Actually, he was tired of running from death and then he took no heed at all on such things. In short, we can say that Ole Anderson had no charm in his life and this was a fault of the society for his suffering.
