A Poison Tree

Ans: In the poem, the poet William Blake presents several contrasts, like friend and foe, love-hate and trust-deceit. He talks about the nourishment of hatred. He compares anger and hatred to a poison tree.

Poison is an unexcused wrath, because the poet did not express his anger to his enemy. The tree grew bigger and bigger. One day the tree bore an apple. His enemy went into the garden and stole that apple and ate it up. He died because of eating that j apple. So, an unexcused wrath is a Poison.
