Describe “Whistling of Birds” shows D.H. Lawrence’s "Great Love for the nature.

When we go through “Whistling of Birds”, we come to realise that the essay is an ample proof of the love of nature that D.H. Lawrence had. The most important point of the essay is the depiction of the heaps of dead bodies, carcasses and remains of the little whistling birds that had been the result, of the cruel winter with its frost and storm. Lapwings, starlings, thrushes, red wings  and other numberless small birds died of hard winter: and the tragedy is continuously visible throughout the narration.
The black birds, the doves and other small birds one day start whistling and bring a new charm to the world that had almost died due to frost. Winter goes and spring comes. The writer expresses forcefully both the destruction of winter and the pleasures of spring.
Nature has a sweet face. And it has a horrible face. It has a dark as well as bright aspect and both these aspects are explained at length by Lawrence. He seems to have studied both the sides of nature very minutely and thoroughly. That is why, all the essay is full of forceful pictures and images. The winter has been described with much force and the spring has b been powerfully expressed. All this shows that D.H. Lawrence  has a heart full of love, sympathy and tenderness for nature.
