Dear Sir,
Through this statement, I wish to draw the attention ol yourself to the difficulties of the public, travelling in railway trains.
(a) The booking in advance presents a sad picture. You
cannot get a seat reserved unless you- pay the extra money.
(b) Trains are often late and cause a great loss of time. The relatives who come to receive the passengers have no time to wait long.
(C) The service provided by the Railways is very poor. The raiiway platforms are filthy. Train compartments are very dirty and are always packed to suffocation. The passengers have to travel long distance, standing on .their feet.
(d) Food served in the compartments is ‘not up to standard. Drinking water is not available on the Railway Stations.
You. are requested to take notice of. all these grievances, especially to prevent commuters’ loss of time due to late arrival of trains, and also take some remedial steps to Improve the situation.
